It all started with a question that always sparks debate: 👉 Is the arepa from Colombia or Venezuela? A Colombian woman helped me understand the true origin of this dish and how it forms part of a shared cultural heritage. From there, the journey continued: 🥘 Bandeja paisa and empanadas in Medellín, one of the country's most representative dishes. 🥚 Arepa de huevo and a typical breakfast in Cartagena, with unique Caribbean flavors. 🥐 Pan de bono, considered by many to be one of the best breads in the world. 🍧 Cholado in Pereira, a refreshing dessert full of fruit and tradition. 🍲 Ajiaco in Bogotá, an iconic soup that surprised me immensely. 🍔 And we finished with a stop at El Corral, one of the most famous restaurant chains in Colombia. Beyond the food, this trip allowed me to connect with the people, their warmth, their joy, and their welcoming way of receiving visitors to their country. Because getting to know a place isn't just about seeing landscapes… it's also about sitting down at a table, listening to stories, and sharing flavors.
