I installed an air conditioner DIY, lowering it from the second floor to the first floor. I drilled holes in the siding exterior wall and added a decorative cover. While it was easy to run it straight to the right or left, I chose a side-to-side right-side installation. The bubble test was quite difficult. The air conditioner is a Panasonic Aeolia 100V 22-inch, bottom-mounted model CS-223DFL-W. I assumed Panasonic would do the same, so I prepared a 2mm VVF cable, but When I looked at the installation manual, it said the following: 1.6mm can be used if the maximum current draw is 15A or less and the wire length is 10m or less. So that's what it says. Are there any Panasonic room air conditioners with a maximum current draw of 15A or more? Probably not. Since 36-inch and larger models are 200V, even a 56-inch model obviously won't be able to exceed 15A. If that's the case, I think all Panasonic models should be 1.6mm.
