Phonics for children is a great way for them to learn the alphabet and learn letter sounds. After we play I Spy with the I Spy Quilt, I read aloud the classic children's story Miss Rumphius written and illustrated by Barbara Cooney and published by The Viking Press. It's a lovely children's story about dreaming, adventuring, and leaving your mark on the world.
