These Narrowboats are Changing Lives - Accessible Boating

Today I visited something really special on the Llangollen Canal… and it completely changed how I see canal boating. The Lyneal Trust run fully accessible narrowboats, making it possible for people with disabilities to experience life on the UK canals. These adapted boats include wheelchair access, accessible layouts, and specialist equipment — opening up narrowboating holidays to so many more people. As a solo female narrowboater living aboard full-time, I know how powerful canal life can be for wellbeing, freedom, and adventure. Seeing how the Lyneal Trust makes accessible canal boating possible was genuinely inspiring.
