On September 11th, 2001, Mike Hingson, blind since birth, was working on the 78th floor of the World Trade Center. With his guide dog Roselle, he made the harrowing descent through smoke, chaos, and fear to escape the North Tower. My father died in the World Trade Center in the same building Michael was in. This is a deeply personal story as it relates to the death of my father and my grief experience. It was an honor to sit down with this wonderful man who is an incredible story telling sharing what went on within the walls of the World Trade Center on 9/11.
