It has been two years since the couple settled down, setting up a base camp near Mount Jobisan and tending a vegetable garden. The sole reason they began this base camp life at over seventy years of age was rock climbing. What started at the suggestion of their son, who was concerned about his parents' health, eventually became the couple's life. The husband, Lee Jae-gap, says the rocks of Mount Jobisan keep calling him to a duel, while his wife, Lee Jeong-ja, is like an army of thousands to whom he can entrust his lifeline rope. The elderly couple, who spend 24 hours a day together, even share similar speech patterns. Carrying 20kg backpacks, they head to the climbing area from dawn.
