Wood Turning - The Spider Wood Root

I attempt to wood turn a spider wood root into something I can use, I cleaned the root and shaped it to fit in the casting container, I mixed nearly 2 litres of epoxy resin which was way too much, The resin overheated and caused a major crack all the way through the piece, I was able to save it by adding more resin, The final piece looks absolutely amazing.
