Interface Humano-Computador - Aplicações web e aplicações ricas para a internet

univesp.br Information Technology - COM330 Univesp - Virtual University of the State of São Paulo Professor: Alessandra Alaniz Macedo In this video class, we will present concepts and foundations of rich interaction for interaction, since traditional HCI concepts and methods need to be extended to handle RIA (Rich Internet Application) applications, which explore and face particularities. Our computer-based systems are supported by people, physical devices and electronic systems that make them increasingly complex as new artifacts invade with their programs, protocols and data. Thus, methods to deal with these interactions are necessary. For example, sensor-based systems do not require explicit interaction as we mentioned in pervasive computing. Interactive systems demand cognitive and interaction models, modern system architecture, methods and design rules focused on human-computer interaction. On the web, interaction aspects are incorporated into browsers, including the possibility of rich interaction. Browsers execute scripts embedded in web pages, which are called Rich Internet Applications (RIA). In RIA, the idea is to have a web application that approaches the speed and elegance of a locally installed application. Skills and competencies: -Know RIA concepts and fundamentals; -Identify particularities of RIA applications; -Understand RIA interaction; -Practice rich interaction on the web.
