How to Prevent Hard Water Stains on Aquarium Lids

You know that crusty white buildup on your aquarium lid and rim? 😬 Those hard water stains (aka calcium or mineral deposits) are often caused by splashing or sponge filter bubbles popping at the surface — but I’ve found a couple of simple ways to prevent it. Follow along as I first show you how I clean off the hard water stains from my glass lid and plastic aquarium rim, as well as how the 2 methods I’ve used to try to stop the buildup from happening in the first place.
