Córdoba was one of the easiest day trips from Málaga—and one we had been looking forward to for a long time. Like many visitors, we came for one reason: the magnificent Mezquita, one of Spain’s greatest architectural masterpieces. But beyond its famous arches, Córdoba surprised us with peaceful courtyards, the lively Jewish Quarter, the historic Roman Bridge, and an atmosphere that made us want to slow down and simply enjoy the city.
