Chico Antonio passed away a year ago today - 13th January 2024. Here is a version of his most famous song, "Baila Maria", which he originally recorded with the Mozambican singer Mingas in 1990, winning the Prix Découverte from Radio France Internationale that year. This version was filmed during a concert at Gil Vicente in Maputo, Mozambique on April 14th 2022, by Chico Antonio (guitar, vocals), Mark Mulholland (guitar) and Julio Mariquel (percussion).
