DA FUGGIASCO A IMPERATORE PIÙ POTENTE AL MONDO - CARLO V

Charles V of Habsburg (1500-1558) was one of the most important Holy Roman Emperors and King of Spain. Born in Ghent, Netherlands, he was the son of Philip the Fair of Habsburg and Joanna of Castile. During his reign, Charles V ruled a vast empire, defined as "the empire on which the sun never sets," which encompassed European territories, including Spain, the lands inherited from the Habsburgs in Austria and Germany, the Netherlands, the Kingdom of Naples, and the American colonies. His policy focused on the expansion of Catholicism and the defense of Christian unity in Europe, often coming into conflict with Martin Luther's Protestant Reformation. His life was marked by numerous wars, including the conflict with Francis I of France, challenges to the Ottoman Empire, and struggles against the Protestant princes in Germany. In 1556, exhausted and discouraged by the incessant conflicts, he abdicated, dividing his dominions: he left Spain and the American colonies to his son Philip II and the Habsburg inheritance to his brother Ferdinand I, who became Holy Roman Emperor. Charles spent his final years in a monastery in Yuste, Spain, devoting himself to prayer and rest until his death in 1558. Charles V is remembered as an ambitious, cultured, and deeply religious ruler, whose political and cultural legacy profoundly influenced 16th-century Europe. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Friends: Like the video to help spread the word 💪 You can support Vanilla by subscribing to two platforms, YouTube and Patreon: YouTube 💪    / @vanilla_magazine   Patreon 💪   / vanillamagazine   Follow us on WhatsApp: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaCx...
