MMG Rosebery mine: cutting a new portal

There’s a lot that goes into cutting a new portal and at our Rosebery site in Australia it’s something that hadn’t been done in 30 years. The team captured the cutting of the Tom McDonald Exploration Portal, opening access to a historic part of the orebody that was last mined more than a century ago. It’s a major step in enabling new underground drilling and extending the life of the operation – and an exciting milestone to watch!
