How I used claude code to build a roubo workbench

Watch an AI agent design a full Roubo workbench in Fusion 360 — from scratch. Using Claude Code and ShopPrentice (a skill that is an MCP-powered parametric furniture modeling system), I walk through the entire build: structure, joinery, and finishing — all driven by natural language prompts. No manual sketching, no dragging features around. Just describe what you want, and the AI builds it parametrically. What you'll see: Phase-by-phase parametric modeling (legs, stretchers, top, joinery) Real mortise-and-tenon joints built with combine-based operations Automated design validation (interference checks, connectivity) Wood grain appearance applied with a single command The full AI + Fusion 360 workflow from first prompt to finished model ShopPrentice connects Claude Code to Fusion 360 via MCP (Model Context Protocol), giving the AI direct access to execute scripts, capture designs, and validate results — no copy-pasting code. All dimensions are parametric. Every joint is structurally valid. The AI builds it the way a woodworker would think about it.
