How to Repair 08 Malibu Cluster Back lights

In this video I go over a 2008 Chevy Malibu cluster with a defective LED keeping the MPH from lighting up. This same technique can be used on similar clusters. Since the LED's are in series with each other, it's common to loose complete sections of lighting, or all of the back lighting illumination. Some tools I use: Hot air station #1 (I use the industrial version 8900): http://amzn.to/2vVZOpq Hot air station #2 (cheaper) http://amzn.to/2xHHLFQ Soldering iron #1 (small stuff): http://amzn.to/2wxAgRv Soldering iron #2 (small stuff): http://amzn.to/2vCEwlt Soldering iron #3 (for high thermo): http://amzn.to/2vCtCfF Flux: http://amzn.to/2wyq1w8 Solder: http://amzn.to/2vVSSJ3 Solder Wick: http://amzn.to/2vVUxyh Multimeter: http://amzn.to/2wvuz8r Power supply (don't pay more than $70): http://amzn.to/2ezEW4R
