Hornady ELD-VT Long Range Coyote Load
In this video, I compare the 69-grain Sierra VarmintKing (formerly the BlitzKing) with the Hornady 69-grain ELD-VT in a .22 Creedmoor. For consistency, both loads use the temperature-stable powder Varget. I’ll walk through the results including group size, velocity, standard deviation, and extreme spread. I’ll also share some real-world results from coyotes, showing both the strengths and some of the less desirable terminal performance I observed with the ELD-VT, along with examples of its efficient long-range capability. This isn’t meant to cast either bullet in a negative light. More testing is needed, but these are simply my early observations from the first round of load development and field use.
