Robbie Williams pop star documentaries: review from mental health perspective
My name is Xanthe. I have had mental health struggles for decades. My primary diagnoses are bipolar 1 disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder, PTSD. I still meet criteria, despite treatments. Recently, I have been watching some documentaries on Netflix from pop stars who emerged in the '80s and '90s. Kylie (Minogue) was worthwhile watching. I have since watched Wham, Take That, Robbie Williams. Most of this review is centred on Robbie Williams, from a mental health perspective. I watched Take that before the exclusive one about Robbie Williams, because I had read somewhere that Robbie Williams was in Take That. They seemed to offer different perspectives about the fallout and reconciliation with Robbie Williams. Plus reflecting on mental health struggles including substance abuse. I think they all offered insights about the pressures of fame etc. I connected most with a few of Robbie Williams' songs when struggling with severe PTSD. To me, 'feel' is about dissociation from trauma.
