To answer some questions, I have received about these 2 great automotive oscilloscopes, I am going to be doing side by sides to feature each of their strong points and weak points. Beings I own and love both, I will try to point out everything you need to know, some things may surprise you. This was just a short secondary ignition test to see how both adapted to a scavenged Snapon Modis HEI pickup coil. This is one of the fastest ways to diagnose all 8-cylinder waveforms and be synced to 1 so we can know what cylinder to attack if there is an ignition issue. This first part is the waveforms and some of the set up differences. Hopefully it will help someone make an informed decision and have no regrets with either scope.
