This time, we'll return to one of the most frequently used techniques on the channel: watercolor. We'll be copying Francisco de Goya's portrait. Working with the different densities found in watercolor will be one of the key elements we need to master to learn the technique correctly. More water and less pigment will result in lighter tones, and less water and more pigment will produce darker tones. Another factor to consider is the transitions between light and shadow in the portrait. Since most of the elements are curved, this will create smooth transitions between our tones.
