After 25 years in their arranged marriage at Gloriavale, while Zion and Gloriana still loved each other very much, they realised they could no longer agree with the vows they once made. Born into the reclusive Gloriavale community in New Zealand, Zion and Gloriana entered into their arranged marriage while young, requiring commitments that went beyond and even above their marriage. In this video, they unpack their story of how marriage worked and what was expected in Gloriavale. Zion and Gloriana tell of the challenge they made to the control that shaped the community - which led to their excommunication. They then narrate the new discoveries of their journey since, as they have unpacked old thought patterns, discovering renewed faith, hope - and marriage.
