This was one of the most unforgettable adventures of my life. Our journey to Neelkanth Lake started with an unexpected companion—a mountain dog who guided us along the trail all the way to the lake and safely back. It felt like he had made it his mission to protect every trekker. Along the way, we met warm-hearted Gaddi people who welcomed us with tea, reminding us that the mountains are as much about the people as they are about the views. The trek was incredibly challenging. We crossed freezing glacier rivers, climbed through rugged terrain, and felt the effects of low oxygen as we gained altitude. Every step tested our endurance, but the breathtaking Himalayan landscapes made every moment worth it. Finally, we reached the stunning Neelkanth Lake, surrounded by snow-covered peaks. The crystal-clear glacier lake was freezing cold, but I decided to take a dip—an experience I'll never forget.
