The Wind Was Brutal… But Look At The Louisiana Blue Crabs We Caught!

The weather definitely didn’t cooperate with us on this trip! The wind was blowing hard, storms were moving through, and the conditions were rough, but that wasn’t enough to keep us off the water. We were able to do some fishing, set crab lines and throw our crab traps . We were able to catch some Louisiana blue crabs despite the weather. My sister was able to join us on this trip, which made it even more special. While we were at camp, Josh kept working on the walls and made more progress on our camp project. Every trip gets us one step closer to finishing it! Carson also caught several gafftop catfish. We’ve never eaten gafftop before, so he talked us into bringing some home to see if they were any good. Back at home, Josh cleaned the catfish and boiled the crabs while I fried up the fish for our family taste test. Did the gafftop make the cut? You’ll have to watch and find out! Thanks for following along with our adventures as we build our camp, spend time with family, and enjoy life on the Louisiana coast.
