Fixing a stuck ignition key in a 2007 Jeep Wrangler

When I was in Park, I couldn't remove the key from the ignition switch. Doing a bit a reading and digging around the transmission shifter I found out my problem. I had broken a piece of the shifter indexing that lodged itself into the Park position, thus preventing the ignition switch from releasing the key.
