GEP DO MUNICÍPIO DE ALTO MOLÓCUÈ OFERECE ALMOÇO AOS IDOSOS DA AUTARQUIA - CMVAM

As part of the celebrations for the International Day of Older Persons, celebrated on October 1st under the theme "For a society inspired by the experiences of older adults," the Office of the Wife of the President of the Alto Molócuè Municipal Council, Mrs. Rita Rafael Nembe, in coordination with the Department of Health, Women, Gender, Children, and Social Action, headed by Estela Marcelino, offered a special luncheon to the seniors of the Municipal Village. The event took place last Saturday, October 18th, at the Municipal Council premises and was attended by approximately 128 seniors, out of a total of 426 registered in the village. The ceremony was marked by moments of fellowship and recognition of the importance of older adults in society. Present were the President of the Municipal Council, Dr. Otílio Eduardo Munequele, council members, and other local dignitaries. On the occasion, Councilwoman Estela Marcelino emphasized that the initiative aims to *value the elderly as true living libraries*, recognizing their role in building and guiding society. In turn, Delenia Figueiredo, representing the Office of the President's Wife, assured that the elderly are not forgotten*, stating: *"The office exists, today we work with the elderly, and we promise to carry out more initiatives of this kind because we know that the elderly are our source of inspiration." The beneficiaries enthusiastically thanked the gesture and called for the continuation of similar events that promote the well-being and appreciation of seniors.
