Birth: The Village of Kalalu in Laikiapa County welcomed the birth of Miriam Wanjiru Mithamo-Githae on February 9, 1971 to the joy of her parents Esther Nyaikamba and James Mithamo. She was welcomed into the big family of older and younger siblings namely Samuel Mithamo, Wilson Mithamo, Pauline Mithamo, Wangu Mithamo, Simon Mithamo, Jane Mithamo, Patrick Mithamo, Michael Mithamo, Charity Mithamo-Wanderi and Irene Mithamo-Thumbi.
