Nearly two years after its launch, we're returning to the Yamaha MT-09 YAMT to dispel a misconception: this automated transmission isn't "scooter-specific," it's a transmission that thrives on its sporty nature. We tested it on the road and, surprisingly, on the track at the Pedersoli Riding School track days with Luca Pedersoli. The Y-AMT uses two electromechanical actuators to manage the transmission and clutch, with two automatic modes (D and D+) and a manual paddle shift.
