Metric pattern draft for your perfect fit corset 📐. You can apply the information in this video to any corset style. I will demonstrate an Edwardian style mid bust with a straight front and hip gores. this is a lightweight summer garment made predominantly with cotton bobbinet. It features a zipper front closure, with external boning set in bias cut, lightweight coutil tubular channels. The back closure has 6mm brass grommets with a reverse bunny ears standard V shaped lacing pattern. The seams have been worked right sides together to give a smooth and clean finish on the inside. There is a millinery cotton petersham ribbon for the waist stay, and the edges are finished with the same lightweight coutil as used for the boning channels. Please keep in mind, this is not a historic recreation project. The aim of this video is to draft, fit and make a modern supportive garment suitable to everyday summer wear.
