Integrated Rate Laws | Zero, 1st & 2nd Order | 14.5 General Chemistry
Chad provides a comprehensive lesson on the Integrated Rate Laws. The Zero Order, First Order, and Second Order integrated rate laws are introduced and then used to calculate concentration changes over time. The half-life equation is also introduced for Zero Order, First Order, and Second Order reactions, but particular attention is paid to First order reactions as they are the only one whose half-life is independent of the reactant concentration. Finally, graphical relationships are presented for each order and it is shown how based upon whether or not a plot is linear the order of the reaction can be determined. I've embedded this playlist as a course on my website with all the lessons organized by chapter in a collapsible menu and much of the content from the study guide included on the page.
