Luca Ponzi - The Fake Factory, Between Social Media and Artificial Intelligence, the final installment in the series "Information and Disinformation in History: The Phenomenon of Fake News" curated by UniGe Senior, University of Genoa. Fake news now pervades political and medical news, even the art world. Artificial intelligence helps bring characters and conversations to life; increasingly, well-known faces are its victims, but sometimes public figures themselves use fake news, deceiving those seeking information and even those whose job it is to provide information. Artificial intelligence itself risks confusing the public, making it difficult, if not impossible, to distinguish between truth and falsehood. At the same time, a new phenomenon is emerging: that of digital haters, who often find nourishment in fake news to fuel public outrage.
