"Seasons of Love" by Jonathan Larson, arr. Roger Emerson | Strathmore Children's Chorus

From Rent (1996), Larson explored multiculturalism, addiction, and homophobia in his work as a composer, lyricist, and playwright. He earned three posthumous Tony Awards and a posthumous Pulitzer Prize for his Broadway hit! SCC celebrated 10 years of bringing choral music excellence to Montgomery County, MD with "Numbers" May 19, 2022. SCC featured counting songs from different traditions, and revisited some of its greatest hits from the past decade. SCC provides a pre-professional choral experience to students ages 7-18, from diverse backgrounds. Founded by Artistic Director Emeritus Christopher G. Guerra and led by Artistic Director Michael Wu, five performing ensembles promote self-expression in singers, celebrate the diverse musical traditions of our residents, and engage talented youth in joy-filled and uplifting music-making. SCC also performs with professional orchestras, other choral groups, and featured artists in ensemble performances, allowing Strathmore to provide a living, breathing, singing presence in our community. https://www.strathmore.org/community-...
