The two dancers that stood out to me should have been in a higher level solo jazz competition, mainly due to their solid foundational jazz skills mixed with their unique execution. What did you all think about this authentic solo jazz competition? Advanced solo jazz and Charleston dancers should understand the most fundamental authentic jazz movements created by the original swing era's dancers. If modern dancers today forget why the vintage jazz moves look vintage, their movements will look more similar to dance forms such as Hip Hop or House more than Authentic solo jazz.
