For Emily Castillo-Melean '28, it started with a campus she instantly loved — and grew into a life full of opportunities she never expected 🍊 In this campus tour, Emily, a sophomore from Miami studying Policy Studies and Citizenship & Civic Engagement, takes us through some of her favorite spots on campus, including: 🏛️ Schine Student Center — the heart of student life and home to SU's Student Government Association 📡 S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications — a hub for students of all majors with great places to eat and study 🌿 A walk across the campus she fell in love with as a first-year 📚 Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs & Eggers Hall — where her classes, her professor and her passion for civic engagement all come together
