Sunbeam Alpine: The history of the Club Weber Carburettor
The Club Weber Carburettor Set-Up with the curved inlet manifold has featured on @The Sunbeam Alpine Channel several times, it has taken the Alpine world by storm delivering significantly improved performance coupled with exceptional fuel economy. Once installed it just stays in tune, year after year. This video tells the story of how it came to be made in the words of two of the main men behind its development, Eddie Zetlein and Peter Pescud. Supported by the U.K. Sunbeam Alpine Owner's Club and Webcon they developed an idea based on a 1960s racing driver's 'home made' manifold into a production ready set-up that you can buy and install on your own Alpine. Fitting a Weber Carb will give some improvement in performance. Fitting a curved inlet manifold under such a Carb will also give some improvement in performance. Fitting the Club Weber Carb, jetted specifically for the Alpine engine, mounted on the curved inlet manifold will deliver outstanding performance across the board together with class leading fuel economy. This is The Club Weber Carb Set-Up. Without the efforts of these two men over a prolonged period of time it is unlikely that the Club Weber Carburettor Set-Up would ever have reached production.
