Tutu celebrates 40 years in Episcopal Ministry, 10 July 2016
YOU ARE WATCHING LIVE PICTURES OF A service to honour Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu for his four decades of work i the ministry, is underway at the St. Mary's Cathedral in Johannesburg. The special thanksgiving service has been attended by Tutu's family, friends, the clergy and a number of high profile politicians including former President Thabo Mbeki. Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu was ordained as a priest in 1960. In 1975 he was appointed the Dean at the St. Mary's Cathedral in Johannesburg. Tutu was the chairperson of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, TRC. He's also an honorary doctor of a number of leading universities around the world.
