Paul McCartney in Conversation at The Roundhouse, London. Of the many occasions I have seen Paul, this was very special, intimate and emotional. What made this extra special was no recording devices, it felt like a hark back to the past, before technology turned us all into photographers and film makers at concerts and shows . We queued for hours as there were no reserved seat upstairs or downstairs, so those who got in first could get the posh seats and rattle theor jewellery. The stage setting was like an old English living room, an old rug, couple of chairs, wooden cabinets and ornaments, next to large radiogram with a record player perched on top. For those of us lucky to get a ticket we sat in was as Rob Brydon spoke to Paul about his New, UK Number one album The boys of Dungeon Lane. The album was played song by song with Paul talking about each track inbetween and whilst each song played, Paul was singing along to them and .mimicking the instruments. He also played his guitar twice and was in great form with his stories, tales and honesty. Rob was the perfect host and it was very lighthearted, the Rapport between them was hilarious and felt like a comedy show many a time. Thos was a magical night to savour for eternity.
