Can a church have the right truth and, at the same time, be divided by wrong attitudes? Hello! You're on Lesson Leaders, where we "train the mind to transform the character." Through 1 Corinthians 1–4, we discover that Christian unity isn't about everyone thinking alike, but about allowing Christ to govern our reactions, our conversations, and how we treat those who think differently. What will you learn in this episode? Through the CETA method, we analyze the key points of the lesson so you can lead a dynamic, biblical, and transformative class: CONNECT: What reveals more about my relationship with Christ: being right in an argument or treating someone who disagrees with me with love? A thought-provoking question to start the class and lead students to examine their character, not just their ideas. EXAMINE: We delve into three essential questions from the lesson: 1. Why does taking sides around human leaders weaken our loyalty to Christ? 2. How can we be united in mind and opinion without becoming identical? 3. What does Christian leadership look like when it has the humble and servant-mindedness of Christ? TRANSLATE: We present three hypothetical scenarios for your students to apply the lesson to real-life situations: favoritism toward certain leaders, disagreements expressed harshly, and the temptation to turn Christian leadership into a personal platform. TAKE ACTION: We propose a concrete weekly challenge: identify a difficult conversation, pause before responding, and ask God for the mind of Christ to practice patience, gentleness, love, or self-control. This lesson reminds us that unity isn't built solely through official agreements or nice declarations. Unity is formed when the Holy Spirit transforms our responses, heals our pride, and teaches us to reflect the meek and humble character of Jesus.
