🌿☁️ Perfect Planting Weather! | Finally Getting Plants Out of Pots & Into the Garden 🌧️🌸 As much as I love sunshine in the garden... sometimes gardeners know the real perfect weather is a little different 😄 A high of 65°, overcast skies, and some liquid sunshine in the forecast? That's planting weather if I've ever seen it! 🌿☁️🌧️ Today's mission is simple: get some of those poor plants I've been babying in my "holding tank" area for far too long out of their nursery cans and into their forever homes in the garden. You know the ones... the plants you buy with the best intentions, set somewhere "temporarily," and somehow weeks (or months 😅) go by before they actually make it into the ground. Today we're fixing that. Some of the plants finally graduating from the holding tank and making their way into the garden today include: Columnar Apple, Lemon Coral Sedum, Geraniums, Peter Cottontail Yarrow, Agastache, and Echinacea! It's a fun mix of structure, foliage, pollinator favorites, and long-season color — exactly the kind of planting combinations I love in my garden. I'm always trying to create spaces that offer interest throughout the seasons while also supporting bees, butterflies, and other beneficial visitors to the garden 🐝🦋🌿 One of the things I love most about gardening is that progress doesn't have to happen all at once. Sometimes it's simply taking advantage of a good weather day and checking a few more things off the list. And honestly... planting on an overcast day with cool temperatures and rain on the way feels like cheating in the very best way 🌧️🌿 The plants are happy. The gardener is happy.
