UTMB Mozart Ultra - 72 km / 3300 hm | RAW & UNFILTERED 05/2026

72 km / 3300 hm through Salzburg's mountains, forests and trails. This time I took part in the UTMB Mozart Ultra in May 2026 and turned the entire race weekend into more than just an event. I connected it with a short trip to Salzburg, exploring the city, enjoying the atmosphere and following some of Mozart's footsteps along the way. The day before the race started with bib pickup and the Expo in Fuschl am See, followed by time in Salzburg before race day arrived. Race morning started in St. Gilgen. I took the shuttle bus from Salzburg to the start area while the sun slowly came up over the mountains. This is where the journey began. The race itself was incredible, amazing landscape, beautiful trails, great atmosphere and truly unique location. But at the same time it was also demanding. 72 km and 3300 meters of elevation gain definitely make you earn every step. Huge respect and thanks to all volunteers, supporters and the entire organization for creating such a great event and atmosphere. Also huge respect for every single participant.
