For RP: Seiko 6139-6005 5/72 Restoration, July 15, 2026

The movement was in good physical condition overall - no water damage or handing issues from the previous service. It did have that skipping issue with time-setting. There were three bad parts (well, two bad parts and one marginal) - the minute wheel, the setting wheel, and the clutch wheel. Minute wheel was on the edge of ok, the other two were just bad, so I replaced those three. Now it sets smoothly and correctly. The movement numbers are fantastic, especially the amazing amplitude, in the 260s. Those are near-new numbers, and with the original mainspring too. Zero beat error and flat accuracy. It’s a great watch. Case had no water damage, all sealing surfaces are good. www.kleinvintagewatch.com   / kleinvintagewatch   https://www.instagram.com/ No ammonites were harmed during the making of this video
