ScotRail Class 385 AT200 Ride: Edinburgh Waverley to Prestonpans - 21/09/18

Video: Heading to Prestonpans from Edinburgh Waverley onboard a ScotRail Class 385 AT200 unit for an afternoon ECML spot. With this being my first ever recorded train ride on a 385, I did a tour of the interior at the start (to skip to the main ride go to 5:45). Opinion of these trains: it has nice motor sounds (similar to the 800s but differs as it speeds up), as well as it has decent shock absorption so going over junctions at speed didn't feel too rough compared to a 387 or 700. That being said the seats are of course the uncomfortable Fainsa ironing boards which is a downer (thankfully it does not run on very long routes), however its a decent enough train that I might film more rides on them in the future.
