【大阪府／奈良県】生駒山✨宮川谷ハイキングコース〜山頂〜辻子谷ハイキングコース。

This time, we'll be climbing Mt. Ikoma, our hometown's mountain village. Mt. Ikoma's summit is an amusement park, and the triangulation point is located on the steam locomotive tracks. So, it's a mountain that makes for an interesting commemorative photo of you climbing with the park's playground equipment in the background. We headed for the summit of Mt. Ikoma via the Miyagawadani Course from Kintetsu Ishikiri Station. The Miyagawadani Course we walked this time is the main course featured on Higashiosaka City maps. However, for a course on Mt. Ikoma, it gives the impression of being closer to nature. For that reason, it's been introduced as a relatively quiet trail. It might be nice to climb while enjoying birdwatching, for example. As we continue up the quiet Miyagawadani Course, we come across a sign for the Ikoma Traverse Trail. If you enjoy hiking, just going as far as the traverse trail might be fine. However, this time we aimed for the amusement park at the summit of Mt. Ikoma. I've visited Ikoma Amusement Park several times when it's closed in the winter, but I wanted to go back and see it when it's open for the first time in a while. It started raining as we were ascending from the ridge trail to the amusement park at the top of the mountain. When I arrived at the park in the rain, only the rides were working. I guess there were so few customers because it was raining. It felt kind of lonely. That's what I was thinking, but when the rain stopped, they announced that the park had reopened. Then, more and more customers came and it became lively. This is an amusement park that we enjoyed as children. I hope it continues to be lively and bustling for a long time to come. There is still so much about Mt. Ikoma that we don't know about. It also has a deep history.
