‪@mikeschaoticgardening‬ ‪@davidcoreywithcrop8686‬ #globalgardencommunity #containergardening #tomatochallenge #smallgardendesign 🍅 *#PreshandPescTomatoChallenge2026 – Update #4* 🍅 Welcome back to another update in the *#PreshandPescTomatoChallenge2026!* The tomatoes are officially making progress! 🌱 Our *Amish Paste* tomato has gone from flowers to **four tomatoes developing**, and it's exciting to finally see the first fruits of the season. Every update feels like another milestone on the journey toward fresh homemade spaghetti sauce, salsa, and plenty of kitchen harvests. Our *Brandywine* continues to impress as well. It's getting taller every week, putting on healthy new growth, and producing more flowers. The self-watering reservoir has been doing exactly what I hoped it would, keeping the plant consistently supplied with moisture through these hot summer days. With temperatures expected to climb into the *upper 90s**, it's time to prepare instead of react. I added a **second drip emitter* to the Amish Paste container to help keep the soil evenly watered during the upcoming heat wave. Between the additional drip irrigation and the shade cloth, the goal is to keep both tomatoes healthy, productive, and stress-free through the hottest part of the summer. So far, both plants have handled the *low 90-degree temperatures* like champions, and now we'll see how they perform when the real summer heat arrives. Thanks for following along with the challenge!
