The Steve Biko Annual Lecture
The Steve Biko Annual Lecture will be delivered by the celebrated Nigerian writer and poet Ben Okri, who won the 1991 Booker prize for fiction for his book Famished Road. The date marks the 35th death anniversary of Biko - who died at the age of 30 in police custody at the Pretoria Central Prison in 1977.
