Wow, if that song doesn't give you chills, I don't know what will. 🤯😏😉 I've been wanting to make this video since the movie came out and now finally did 😅 Have you seen Kpop Demon Hunters?? (If not - you totally should and you're in for a treat - that movie is EPICCCC 😉😁) All the songs from this movie are insanely good, but this one stunned me to the core. It's so mesmerizing yet sinister, and such a perfect depiction of what evil truly is and what the devil truly wants. I know not everyone believes in the devil, but if he was real...don't you think that's exactly what he would want? I know this isn't a really pleasant subject, but I don't want anything bad to happen to you and I truly believe this is something worth your time to consider. It's kinda creepy to think of an evil entity seeking your destruction, but what if that actually existed? "Keeping you in check, keeping you obsessed, play me on repeat endlessly in your head" What better way to control someone than to fill their head with lies and make them consumed with things that will steal their attention away from the danger they're in? The devil is a master of disguise and deception. He doesn't come to you with red horns and a cape, he comes subtly, sneaking his ideology into songs and movies and philosophies that keep you lulled into complacently and blind to his true evil. His ultimate goal? To pull you away from God and replace God with himself. "Anytime it hurts, play another verse - I can be your sanctuary" What do you turn to when you're in pain? You probably don't go asking the devil for help, but he doesn't care what you cling to as long as it has nothing to do with God. The devil will do anything to keep you away from true healing - he offers comfort and a false sense of safety and control, but it won't last. "Know I'm the only one right now, I will love you more when it all burns down" This lyric is so manipulatively isolating, and shows his love comes with conditions. The devil wants to convince you that you're alone, there's no one to turn to, and even though he wants your loyalty, the devil could care less about you - all he wants is to make God suffer and bring you down with him. "More than power, more than gold - yeah you gave me your heart now I'm here for your soul." Forget about power and money - this is where the real battle is. It's like Rumi said, "This is a battle for hearts and minds." What do you love? What do you treasure? What do you put your trust in? Yourself? Your family? Your hobbies? Your bank account? All good things, but at the end of the day, you can't take them with you when you die, and your soul is left at the mercy of whoever you entrusted it to. There's only two options: Will you give your heart to God? Or will you stay distracted by other things and let the Devil steal your soul? "I'm the only one who loves your sins" Why would someone trust the devil? He gives us what we want. Freedom from accountability. He loves it when we sin. Lying, stealing, cheating, pride, envy, lust, selfishness, cruelty, idolatry - those are all celebrated in Satan's kingdom. It's so easy to live in darkness because we feel exposed in the light. "Feel the way my voice gets underneath your skin" "You're not good enough. No one could ever love you. You're alone. No one cares. Give up. Just do what feels good." The devil is a mean friend. While he loves your sins, he hates your potential and just wants to keep you trapped in a web of lies to keep you under his control. "Gimme your desire - I can be the star you rely on" As humans we all have different desires and dreams, and God meant that to be a very good thing, but the devil wants to corrupt and redirect them toward self-gratification and rebellion against God. He promises if we turn to him instead of relying on God, we can have whatever we want and find pleasure in the moment, but in the end it's as empty as wishing on a glowing ball of gas. (Sorry lol, I love the magical feel of wishing on stars as much as anyone else, but logically and scientifically, it doesn't actually affect anything) The problem with relying on the sinful ways of the devil is he doesn't actually care about you. It's such an eerie twist in the end lyrics when it switches to, "Gimme your desire - watch me set your world on fire" revealing the evil plan all along and leading the people straight toward their doom. That's exactly what the devil wants to do with you. "You're lost in my gaze, no you can't look away - don't you know I'm here to save you?" Once again promising relief and security all while keeping your focus away from the perilous direction you're heading. Which later switches to a mocking: "No one is coming to save you." But luckily - like everything else - that is just a lie too. ❤😉 Someone did come to save you - Jesus, and he's offering you a way out right now. (Please check pinned comment - I ran out of room 😅🙈)
