Measuring Bolt Patterns/Hole Locations

Measuring hole locations in relation to other features is a skill every Machinist must learn. This video summarizes this process using common shop tools. When precision is required, these methods can get you extremely close. If you routinely measure ultra tight tolerance features and their location, a Coordinate-Measuring Machine (CMM) may be worthwhile. For the average Machinist, these methods should suffice.
