Muwanga Kivumbi Fires Back at Museveni After Prison!

Just six months ago, Muhammad Muwanga Kivumbi watched his life descend into unimaginable horror. During a security operation at his home, people were killed before he was arrested and taken into custody. After enduring months behind bars, he was denied the chance to properly mourn those who died. Throughout his detention, CDF Muhoozi Kainerugaba and President Yoweri Museveni publicly defended the operation, projecting confidence that imprisonment would silence one of their fiercest critics. But if that was the goal, it appears to have had the opposite effect. Stepping out on bail to the cheers of hundreds of supporters who had gathered to welcome him home, Muwanga Kivumbi delivered a fiery message directed at Museveni and Muhoozi. Far from breaking his resolve, he declared that prison had only strengthened it. His imprisonment, he said, had reignited his determination to challenge what he describes as dictatorship and continue the struggle for political change.
