The film shows their duties and daily life in Vietnam. The 173rd Airborne Brigade is an airborne infantry brigade of the United States Army. The Brigade was the first major United States Army ground formation deployed in Vietnam, serving there from 1965 to 1971. Due to the Brigade’s frequent parachute jumps with allied airborne units, it was nicknamed "Sky Soldiers". The Brigade was withdrawn from Vietnam in August 1971. Paratroopers of the 173rd received over 7,700 decorations during their service in Vietnam, including more than 6,000 Purple Hearts and twelve Medals of Honor for conspicuous bravery.
