Edradour Ten: Video 154; a little distillery with a big heart

Video 154: This is a distillery that I had no knowledge of until 5 years ago when I read an article on the smallest distillery in Scotland. That article has kept it in the back of my mind with intrigue and mystery and if it was ever mentioned in a review I followed it diligently. I never thoroughly understood why the reviews were all over the place but that just added to the intrigue. Unfortunately it never showed up here in Canada so Edradour drifted in and out of my radar until the last year when I finally had the opportunity to buy a Caledonian twelve year old bottle. I guess there were a few others that were also chasing after it because it sold out within a day. I missed out so that gave me a more serious focus on getting it next time it showed up. When I finally got the chance I settled for the Edradour Ten which showed up in a store where I ran into it by accident. I nor probably anyone else knew it was there. Some of you that have it readily available in your part of the world are thinking "What is the big deal?" I live in BC, Canada, and I say no more. I felt like I had reached another milestone in this endless whisky journey, especially for someone who puts that much emphases on a ten year old when I have whiskies that are more than three times that age. But Edradour has more intrigue when you start to do an extensive research on the distillery and it's history as I had to do for the review. It just had so much color in it's history and so many stories to tell and that is before your first tasting. And with all those older inconsistent batches what is this one going to be like? I really think it's worth your while to hang around little longer and watch the review. Thanks for watching and Enjoy.
