Linville Falls

Join me for a walk around Price Lake on the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina. Located at Julian Price Memorial Park near Blowing Rock, Price Lake is one of those beautiful Parkway stops that invites you to slow down. The trail circles the edge of the lake for about 2.7 miles, passing through quiet forest, shoreline views, small bridges, boardwalk areas, and peaceful reflections of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is not a long hike, but it is a beautiful one. Some sections are smooth and easy, while others have roots, rocks, and wet areas, so good walking shoes are helpful. Whether you are there for a peaceful walk, photography, kayaking, fishing, or just a quiet moment beside the water, Price Lake is one of the classic stops along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
