Sewing is a hobby, a profession, but also a way to do good for the planet. I really wanted to share with you some ideas for bringing your fabric scraps to life, as well as inspiration for making objects that will reduce your daily waste. For this first video, I invite you to make your own fabric cutlery holder with me. It's perfect for lunch at work, at school, or on weekend picnics. Far from being a gadget, I use it EVERY DAY! It protects my cutlery in my bag before I use it to eat and prevents my bag from getting stained if I haven't been able to do the dishes. Thanks to this cutlery tray, I no longer use disposable cutlery. I hope this tutorial will be as useful to you as it was to me and that it will show you that you can do good for the planet while having fun! Supplies: 2 scraps of fabric, approximately 30cm x 40cm (depending on the size you want your cutlery tray to be) Thin woven iron-on adhesive (only if your fabrics are very thin or stretchy) The cutlery you want to store to create a custom tray Sewing thread in a color that matches your fabrics 1 erasable pen 1 ruler (ideally a Japanese ruler) 1 box of pins 1 safety pin 1 pair of fabric scissors 1 sewing machine 1 iron 00:00 • Introduction 01:44 • Supplies 02:29 • Taking measurements 03:10 • Cutting the pieces 03:49 • The base 04:46 • The cutlery compartments 06:14 • The ribbon clasp 07:35 • Final result 07:53 • Conclusion Psssst, I'm also on Instagram:   / modulab_studio   So tag me in your photos to show me your creations!
